Easy Drop Biscuits

These quick, easy biscuits are my go-to!

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1 T baking powder
1 T sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup milk

Instructions:

Mix all dry ingredients together in medium sized bowl. Add butter and milk. Stir until moistened. Drop by heaping tablespoons in greased muffin tin. Bake at 450 degrees, 10-12 minutes or until golden.

Optional Ingredients & Instructions: Add ins

Ingredients:

bacon
shredded cheddar
sausage
chopped onions, peppers, etc.
herbs
red pepper flakes
etc.

Instructions

Fully cook meat or vegetables before adding to batter!

Yum Yum Sauce

Category: Sauce

Popular sauce at hibachi restaurants!

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup water
1 tsp tomato paste
1 T melted butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions:

Except for water, mix ingredients together. Use water to create the desired consistency. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours. Use regular mayonnaise, not light.

This recipe works well with: Fried Rice, Shrimp, Chicken, Steak


Stay Creamy Fudge

Category: Microwave, Candy, Fudge

Microwave chocolate/peanut butter fudge that doesn't disappoint! This fudge lives up to its name - it will stay smooth and creamy in a permanent soft set.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 T water

Instructions:

Place all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then repeat until smooth. Pour into a pan to refrigerate - eat whenever!

This recipe works well with: A cold glass of milk.


Karla's Peanut Butter Fudge

Fantastic peanut butter fudge

Ingredients:

2 cups light brown sugar
3 T sugar
1 T butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup peanut butter

Instructions:

Mix sugars, butter, and milk in saucepan. Cook to soft ball stage (234 degrees). Dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to mixture before removing from heat. Remove from heat and add vanilla and peanut butter. Mix well. Pour into pan - 7x9 recommended

Memaw's Fantasy Fudge

Classic Fantasy Fudge with a twist

Ingredients:

3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 small 5 oz can of evaporated milk (about 2/3 cup)
11.5 oz Nestle milk chocolate pieces
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

Line 9 inch square pan with foil with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; set aside. Place sugar, butter, and evaporated milk in large heavy saucepan. Bring to rolling boil on medium heat, stirring continuously. Boil 4 min or until 234 degrees, stirring to prevent burning the fudge. Remove from heat. Add chocolate pieces and marshmallow creme, stir until all is melted, add vanilla - mix well. Pour into prepped pan and spread to even layer. Let stand 4 hours, cut into small pieces as desired. Store in sealed container. Makes 3 lbs.

Golda's Peanut Butter Fudge

Category: Candy, Fudge

Perfect peanut butter fudge.

Ingredients:

4 cups white sugar
1 cup sweet milk (2% okay too)
1 jar marshmallow creme (7 oz)
1 jar of creamy peanut butter (16 oz)

Instructions:

Mix sugar and milk, and bring to rolling boil for 5 minutes (until thick). Take mixture off stove and add peanut butter and marshmallow creme. Stir til smooth and pour into buttered cookie sheet/pan to cool. Let cool 4 hours, store in airtight container.

Mom's (Skippy's) Good Cookies

Soft cookie full of stuff!

Ingredients:

1 stick soft butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup oats
1 cup flour

Instructions:

Mix all, bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Optional Ingredients & Instructions:

To taste:
nuts
chocolate chips
raisins

Skippy's Lemon Cookies

Clyde's favorite lemon cookies!

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder (Check this)
1 tsp lemon flavoring
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
1 egg

Instructions:

Mix all, bake 12-14 minutes at 350 degrees, then immediately dip in glaze below:

1/4 cup lemon juice

Stir til sugar dissolves, dip cookies in!

Four layered refrigerated dessert

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
2 sticks butter
1 cup chopped pecans
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup confectioner sugar
18 oz cool whip (16 oz also works)
3 small packages of instant lemon pudding
4 1/2 cups milk
Spare pecans to sprinkle on top

Instructions:

First layer: mix 2 cups flour, 2 sticks butter and 1 cup nuts together and press into 9x13 (or slightly larger) pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Second layer: soften the cream cheese, add 1 cup confectioner sugar and half of the cool whip. Mix well - add place on top of first layer after it cools. Third layer: mix 3 packs of instant lemon pudding with 4.5 cups of milk, when cool - place on top of second layer. Fourth layer: put remaining cool whip on top of third layer, sprinkle with nuts as desired. Chill overnight.

Optional Ingredients & Instructions:

You can exchange the lemon pudding for chocolate, or leave out the nuts - as desired.

Oreo Candy

Delicious cookies & cream candy - Got this recipe from Brittany

Ingredients:

1 package chocolate sandwich cookies
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 package chocolate almond bark or white chocolate bark

Ingredients:

Crush cookies in a large plastic bag - should make approximately 4 cups.
Add to softened cream cheese and mix well.
Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Shape into small balls - about 1 inch - and place on waxed paper lined baking sheets or trays.
Melt almond bark.
Dip balls using toothpicks or a fork. Let excess chocolate drip off. Place back on waxed paper to dry.
Keep refrigerated.

Snickerdoodles

Yummy cinnamon-sugar cookie with a crispy outside and melt-in-your-mouth buttery inside. Perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3 T sugar
3 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

Ingredients:

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy.
Mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
In seperate bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt.
Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
Combine sugar and cinnamon in a flat bowl or on a plate.
Dip dough by teaspoons and roll into balls.
Roll dough balls in cinnamon sugar to coat.
Place on greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden.

Kim's Sugar Cookies

Category: Cookies

Crispy buttery sugar cookies with a light lemon flavor. Perfect for rolling and cutting into fun shapes then decorating with frosting, sprinkles, sugars, and any other fun things the kiddos can imagine!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup shortening
2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp lemon flavoring
4 tsp milk (may add a bit more if needed to create a smooth dough)

Ingredients:

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy.
Add egg, vanilla, and lemon flavoring and mix until smooth.
Add dry ingredients and mix. Add milk and mix until smooth dough forms.
May cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
Roll out to approximately 1/4 inch. Cut with cookie cutters and place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies depending on size.

Instructions

Frosting - 1 stick softened butter, dash of salt, 2 T milk, powdered sugar to bring to desired consistency. Add food coloring and have fun decorating!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Category: Cookies

Delicious chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and gooey middles.

Ingredients:

1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 cup quick oats
2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

Cream shortening and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add salt, soda, and flour and mix well. Add oats and mix well. Add chocolate chips (and any other add-ins) and mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.

Optional Ingredients & Instructions: Other add-ins

chopped nuts
other flavors of chips - butterscotch, peppermint, etc.

May cover and refrigerate up to several days. WARNING: This will allow any and all family members to steal spoonfuls of cookie dough. There may not be any left when you want to bake them!

Vanilla Crackle Cookies

Buttery vanilla cookies coated in powdered sugar. They look like yellow snowballs - the one time it's okay to eat the yellow snow!

Ingredients:

3 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 T vanilla
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
6 T milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions:

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until smooth. Add in dry ingredients and mix well. Add in nuts if doing so. Chill dough in the refrigerator. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Makes about 6 dozen.
